The Temperature King solution is easy-to-install and maintain, and is likely to pay for itself the very first time an environmental alarm occurs. We are extremely mindful that your time is precious, and have designed the system so that it can be up-and-running with the minimum of fuss and bother.
The Environmental Monitoring System connects to the network, and will be automatically discovered by our software utility. You can then type in the IP address of the device on your browser interface, and from there you can assign a static IP address (if required), plus all the environmental threshold settings.
The Temperature/Humidity modules can be easily located as needed, either in or on top of a rack, or on a wall or ceiling. The interface cable provided between the Environmental Monitoring System and the temperature/humidity sensor is Cat5, and this means it can easily be extended on-site as required.
The security sensors provided with the Temperature King package are magnetic door contact sensors, that can be affixed to either a main IT room door or a rack door. The design of the solution package means that the security sensors are connected to the temperature/humidity modules (via screw terminals). This makes locating the security sensors far easier than if the cable has to run all the way back to the Environmental Monitoring System.

When your Temperature King package is ordered, we will immediately set up an ‘Alert Centre’ account for you to provide automated Voice and SMS alerts in the event of an environmental alarm condition. Your Environmental Monitoring System is pre-configured with a unique device ID and our Alert Centre email address. On completion of your registration details you will be provided with an online account through which you can manage personnel contact details, device location information, etc.
In the event of an alarm condition, an initial alarm message is sent to your main site telephone number and an email is sent to all personnel on the contact list. An escalation procedure of alerts then begins with an SMS and voice message sent to the designated telephones of the first personnel contact. Should that contact fail to respond, alerts are sent to the second contact, and so on until the sixth contact has been informed.
If one of the contacts acknowledges the alerts as required, SMS and voice alerts will no longer be sent and previously alerted personnel will be notified that the alarm has now been acknowledged.
All alarm activations are logged in the Alert Centre log files and can be accessed via your online account.
