interSeptor Firmware Upgrade Instructions

To upgrade the firmware of your Jacarta interSeptor(s) please follow these instructions step by step. Updating the firmware of your interSeptor(s) will provide added features and resources for you to use.

• Download the firmware for upgrade from the downloads page here or request it directly via email stating your current firmware version. The firmware will be supplied in a compressed zip file that will require saving to your hard drive and unzipping (An evaluation copy of WinZip can be downloaded from here.)
  
  
• Execute the provided upgrade utility (in the /upgrade/ directory on the interSeptor CD-ROM). A screen as follows will appear.
  
  
  
• Click on the button labelled "Discover" to locate the interSeptor(s) available on your network. The unit(s) will appear in the list as follows.
  
  
  
  
• Select the interSeptor you want to upgrade by clicking on the entry in the list. Next click on the "Modify" button to edit the administrator account and password (default username is "interSeptor" and default password is "admin").
  
  
  
  
• Click "OK" to accept the settings and then click the "Open" button from the main window and locate the newly received firmware on your hard drive. Click "Open" once you have located the file.
  
  
  
  
• Finally, click "Upgrade" to upgrade the interSeptor with the firmware. A version control warning will appear, making you verify your decision to upgrade. Click "OK" to verify this window and the upgrade should begin.
  
  
• A progress bar will count through the upgrade process from 0-100%.

  Once the version control window has been verified please DO NOT unplug the interSeptor until the upgrade has finished (as shown below)!

• When the upgrade is finished the progress bar will display as follows.
